This discovery upends his identity and forces him to make a crucial choice: follow his biological father or protect those he considers his true family.

In subsequent MCU films, Peter plays a central role in the fight against Thanos and the protection of the universe. His immaturity and impulsiveness sometimes lead to complications, most notably in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), where his reaction to Gamora’s death compromises an attempt to stop Thanos.

Beyond his role as a hero, Peter Quill is known for his sarcastic humor, his attachment to 1980s pop culture, including his passion for the music he listens to on his Walkman, and his goofy seductive side.
