Where is the work The Arcadian Shepherds painted by Nicolas Poussin exhibited?
Answer
The two canvases by Poussin are pastoral paintings depicting idealized shepherds of classical antiquity, gathered around an austere tomb. The first version, dated 1628-1630, is in England at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. The second version, executed ten years later in 1637-1638, is in the Louvre.
