Mbabane is the capital of Eswatini, a landlocked country in southern Africa. It is located in the Hhohho district, near the border with South Africa. Mbabane has a population of about 95,000 and is the administrative, commercial and communication center of the country. It is also the largest city in Eswatini. The city is located at the eastern end of the highlands along the Mbabane River. Mbabane is surrounded by the Mdimba Mountains and is crossed by two rivers: the Mbabane River and its tributary, the Polinjane River. The highest point in Eswatini is the 1,862-metre-high Mount Emlembe, located near Piggs Peak in the northwest of the country.
