Niue is a small island state in the South Pacific located about 2,400 km northeast of New Zealand. Alofi is the capital of Niue and is located on the west coast of the island. It is also the largest town on the island, with a population of about 600.
Alofi is a small, peaceful village with palm-lined streets, traditional wooden and stone houses, local stores and restaurants.
The government of Niue is headquartered here and the town is also home to the Niue International Airport. Despite its small size, Alofi is an important cultural and administrative center for the people of Niue.
