In which Italian province is bergamot mainly grown?
Answer
The bergamot is the fruit of the bergamot tree, a member of the Rutaceae family. This citrus fruit has been cultivated mainly in the province of Reggio Calabria (Italy) since the 18th century and only on a narrow strip of the Calabrian coast, along the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas, where the bergamot still feeds a small local industry.
